What this section is
Menu overview is the F&B product hub. Use Categories to build sections, Items to add priced dishes with guest-facing description and allergens, then Menu QR & PDF so phones match the card. Station (Kitchen vs Bar) on each item drives KOT (Kitchen Order Ticket) vs BOT (Bar Order Ticket).
In the owner dashboard
Open Restaurant menu under Listing / Property after you claim a stay. Same vocabulary as Help Academy.
~8 min
Typical time to read this guide and complete the screen once for a small property.
Food & beverage · Setup
Enable the F&B (Food and Beverage) outlet: settings, menu, tables, and Menu QR & PDF before taking orders.
Help cues
When to use it
Cue 1
Opening the outlet card for the first time.
Cue 2
Training staff on where to edit prices vs allergens vs QR.
Cue 3
Checking counts of available vs 86’d (hidden) items before a busy weekend.
Do this
Step-by-step
-
Open Menu overview
Food & beverage → Setup → Menu. Read the counts (categories, items, available, hidden), then open Categories or Items from the hub cards or subnav.
India example: Palm Kitchen · 4 categories · 28 items · 2 hidden (86’d). -
Build categories, then items
Categories first (sort order). Then Add item with name, price, description, allergens, veg/vegan/GF, spice, and station.
India example: Breakfast (sort 10) → Masala dosa ₹120 · wheat allergen · Mild · Kitchen. -
Publish to guests
After prices or allergens change, open Menu QR & PDF and refresh/print so table tents and WhatsApp PDFs match.
India example: Paneer tikka price ₹280 → rescan T3 QR → confirm ₹280 + milk allergen tag.
Tips
Use Overview when you are lost — subnav always links Categories, Items, Add item, and QR. · Cost price is optional here but feeds Food costing later — fill it when you know recipe cost.
Common mistakes
Editing only the PDF and ignoring Items — QR guests still see the old live prices. · Skipping allergens on nut-heavy dishes — guests cannot self-select safely.
