Overview
How this page fits
FindMyStay.in is an India-focused accommodation platform. This page summarizes how we approach EU/EEA (and UK) data protection expectations when GDPR / UK GDPR applies to a person or processing activity. It complements — and does not replace — our Privacy Policy.
Scope
Who this covers
This page is especially relevant if you are in the EU/EEA or UK and use FindMyStay.in as a visitor, account holder, or property owner. Most users of FindMyStay.in are in India; Indian users should also review the DPDP Act section below and our Privacy Policy.
Accountability
Roles & responsibilities
FindMyStay as controller
For account data, site analytics, billing records, and platform operations, FindMyStay.in typically acts as a data controller.
Property owners
When owners store guest CRM, reservation, or folio data in owner tools, they decide why that operational data is processed for their lodging business.
Enquiries
Guest enquiry details are delivered to the property so they can respond. Owners handle follow-up independently.
Processors
We use vetted service providers (hosting, email, payments) under contractual confidentiality obligations.
Lawfulness
Legal bases (where GDPR applies)
- Contract: Creating an account, delivering listing/owner features you request, processing subscriptions.
- Legitimate interests: Securing the Service, preventing abuse, improving product performance (balanced against your rights).
- Consent: Optional marketing communications where consent is required; you may withdraw consent at any time.
- Legal obligation: Tax, accounting, or regulatory retention where required.

International transfers
FindMyStay.in primarily operates for users in India. If personal data is transferred internationally (for example via cloud hosting or payment processors), we take steps appropriate to the provider and applicable law, such as contractual safeguards where required.
Vendors
Processors we may use
Examples include hosting infrastructure, email delivery, analytics, and payment processors (such as Razorpay for plan payments). Categories of processors may change as we improve the Service; we select providers that offer appropriate security commitments.
How long
Retention
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes described in our Privacy Policy — typically while an account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for billing, security, disputes, or legal compliance. See Retention & security in the Privacy Policy.
Requests
How to make a request
- Email [email protected] with “Privacy request” in the subject.
- Tell us which right you want to exercise and enough detail to identify your account.
- We may ask for verification before acting on a request.
- Owners can also update many profile/listing settings in their dashboard.
