What this section is

Vendors are the suppliers you buy supplies from — linen houses, chemical distributors, local kirana for odds and ends. A clean vendor master makes POs (Purchase Orders) and Finance payments faster and GST-compliant.

In the owner dashboard

Open Vendors under Listing / Property after you claim a stay. Same vocabulary as Help Academy.

~7 min

Typical time to read this guide and complete the screen once for a small property.

Operations · Supplies (quick)

Light ops stock for linen and toiletries: items, vendors, and purchase orders (PO) without the full Inventory suite.

Help cues

When to use it

Cue 1

Onboarding Metro Linen as towel supplier.

Cue 2

PO screen needs a vendor pick-list.

Cue 3

Accounts asks for supplier GSTIN on a bill.

Do this

Step-by-step

  1. 1

    Open Vendors

Operations → Supplies (quick) → Vendors. Add or edit supplier records. Filter by active/inactive or category chips.

India example: Metro Linen · category linen · phone · GSTIN 32…
  2. 2

    Capture tax and contact fields

Legal name as on invoice, GSTIN when registered, phone/WhatsApp for chase-ups, category (linen / cleaning / F&B…).

India example: GSTIN matches the tax invoice Meera will pay next week.
  3. 3

    Use on Purchase orders

When creating a PO, pick this vendor — do not type free-text supplier names that never match bills.

India example: PO → vendor Metro Linen · 40 bath towels.

Tips

One vendor record per legal entity — duplicates break spend reports. · Mark inactive vendors you no longer use instead of deleting history. · Watch the With GSTIN KPI — close gaps before month-end bills pile up.

Common mistakes

Paying a bill for a GSTIN that was never saved on the vendor — Finance rework every month. · Creating “Metro Linen 2” because the first record was incomplete — merge by editing the original.
