Ensure inputs are clean
Posted GRNs with real rates, counts posted, no huge unposted drafts. Garbage in → garbage valuation.

Share with Finance
Export/note the value for books. Explain large moves (wedding linen buy-in, write-offs).
India example: ₹1.8L · +₹40k towels GRN · −₹2k count write-off.
Tips
Document the valuation method in your SOP once — train every new storekeeper. · Dead/obsolete stock still has value until written off — plan clearance.
