What this section is
Event bookings is the sales pipeline for functions. Capture client (+91 phone), optional link to a legacy enquiry, venue, package, event type (wedding, conference, party, corporate MICE), dates/times, guest count (pax), quoted & contract ₹, notes, and optionally block the venue on the calendar. Status moves enquiry → quoted → contracted → confirmed → completed / cancelled. System codes EVT-yymmdd-###.

Create the booking
Events → Event bookings → add client, venue, dates, pax, type, quoted/contract ₹. Link enquiry if it started on Enquiries (legacy).

Block the space
Tick block venue on calendar when the date is real — prevents double-booking site visits vs confirmed functions.
India example: Sat 18 Oct · Ballroom blocked. -
Advance the status
Move quoted → contracted → confirmed as token/advance and BEO progress. Cancel only with a clear note.
India example: Token paid → confirmed.
Tips
Contract ₹ should match what Advances & settlement will collect against. · Menu notes (veg / Jain / barat timing) belong here and later on the BEO.
Common mistakes
Leaving status at enquiry while the hall is “definitely ours” — ops will not see it as real.
